The year was 2017, it was a beautiful spring day in our nations capital, and Stephanie had thought she was headed to just another boozy brunch with friends. While Stephanie was chugging vodka straight from the bottle in the classiest of manners, Sean walked through the door, dimples popping. As their eyes met for the first time, Stephanies jaw dropped to the floor and she felt butterflies instantly. Sean thought his sister was pulling an April Fools Day prank on him. The rest of the day is fuzzy due to the alcohol involved, however, the chemistry was undeniable. Neither of them wanted to admit this, as they were trying to focus on themselves. They proceeded to spend the next few months in denial of how much they connected, yet, oddly found themselves together any chance they had. The casual dates turned into serious conversations and trips around the country. In 2019 they moved into their first home together. Since then, there have been nonstop adventures, home renovations, and a precious addition to the family, their mischievous princess, Maebel. In 2022 they moved to Raleigh, NC to start a new chapter of life pursuing new job opportunities and a new area to explore. After a rainy beach day botched his initial plans, Sean found himself scrambling for a new way to propose. He thought the day was ruined until he thought about what Steph cherishes most - the special moments. Stephanie was perplexed by the role reversal when Sean asked her to go feed the turtles on the bench on his parents dock. She had just finished saying “Look Sean, aren’t they sooo cuuutteee?!” for the millionth time as a baby turtle swam away. As she turned around her smile quickly disappeared. Sean was on his knee and in a split second they felt a roller coaster of emotions: shock, terror, and finally, overwhelming joy. Once she caught her breath, she said Yes! Now we are ready to make the official commitment to each other and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
